2 February 1920: Unit formed as 15th Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery.Equipped with 18-pounders

3 June 1935: Unit designated as 15th Field Brigade, RCA.
7 April 1938: Unit converted to coast artillery. Known as 15th Coast Brigade, RCA.Tasked with defending Vancouver and the northern approach to the mainland from Vancouver Island. 15th Coast Brigade manned Point Grey
, Ferguson Point (Stanley Park
), Narrows North (North Vancouver
), and Yorke Island
. Armed with 18-pounders, 12-pounders
, and guns.
1 April 1946: Name change to 15th Coast Regiment, RCA.
5 February 1948: Unit converted to field artillery. Known as 15th Field Regiment, RCA.Originally equipped with 25-pounders
and 155 mm guns, these were later replaced by 105 mm C1 Howitzers
and then 105 mm C3 Howitzers.
