The 27 Club consists of two related phenomena, both in the realm of
popular culture. The first is a list of seven famous musicians who died at age 27—blues singer and musician
Robert Johnson (who is considered to be the first member of the 27 Club by some critics),
Brian Jones,
Jimi Hendrix,
Janis Joplin,
Jim Morrison,
Kurt Cobain, and
