Ashley Churchill Williams (born 12 November 1978) is an American television, movie and
Broadway actress.
Early life
Williams was born in
Westchester County,
New York. Her father, Gurney Williams, is a freelance medical journalist, and her mother, Linda, is a fundraiser for
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. She is the younger sister of
Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who is also an actress, and sister-in-law to country music star
Brad Paisley.
Williams attended Rye High School in
Rye, New York. She has a bachelor of fine arts degree from
Boston University's theatre conservatory, having graduated in May 2001.
The Something Borrowed star exchanged vows with producer Neal Dodson at the Nashville, Tennessee home of her sister Kimberly Williams-Paisley, the country singer’s wife on May 29th, 2011. Gushing about her new husband, she adds, “He grounds me. He allows me to laugh at myself and calms me down. He puts things in perspective.”
Career
Williams made her big-screen acting debut in a non-speaking role in the 1993 ensemble comedy-drama
Indian Summer, which also featured her sister.
Williams had a role in the television series
Good Morning, Miami (2002–2004). Since then she has also appeared in episodes of
