The women's football team is one of the most successful clubs ever in Norway, with 6 Premier League championships and 5 cup championships. Due to economic difficulties before the 2009 season, the whole team decided to join Stabæk IF's football group, Stabæk Fotball. NFF decided then to give Asker's place in Toppserien to Stabæk Fotball. Asker's second team has due to this become Asker first team, but due to their place in Norwegian Second Division they now function as a recruit team for Stabæk Fotball.
The men currently play in the Norwegian Second Division (tier three), and have a cup silver from 1951 as their best achievement.
Unbeaten seasons
Asker become historic in 1998, when the women's team won all its Premier League matches. Incidentally, the men's did the same thing in 2005, though in the Third Division, although it was played in First League between 1951-1959.
