Description:
Badlu Singh (November 1876-23 September 1918) VC was an Indian recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

He was born in Hindu Jat family of Dhankhar gotra in village Dhakla Jhajjar district in Haryana state of India.

He was a ressaidar in the 14th Murray's Jat Lancers, Indian Army, attached to 29th Lancers during the First World War when the following deed took place for which he was awarded the VC.
