Before entering national politics, he lectured at Auckland's
Masters Institute, a fundamentalist teachers college,,
The Maxim Institute as well as being involved with

Marc Alexander, he lost his seat in the New Zealand Parliament at the
New Zealand general election, 2005 when his party's electoral support fell to one third its previous level.
Later years
Ogilvy has recently reappeared as Secretary of the new

corporal punishment of children in New Zealand. He also made the application for the
The Kiwi Party to the Electoral Commission.
