Bilal Musharraf () is the son of
Sehba Musharraf, from Okara, and
Pervez Musharraf, the former President of
Pakistan. Bilal is married with two children, as is his only sibling, his sister Ayla.
In March 2005, the family was held up at a
San Francisco, California, airport because security personnel detected traces of
TNT in his son's diaper bag; they missed their
United Airlines flight, but were cleared to depart and caught a later plane.
The articles "Evaporation Drops the Temperature," and "He had no choice!" that appeared on the web portal "Chowk" are credited to him. Bilal completed his B.S. in Actuarial Science from
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1994 and completed his MBA and MA in 2007 (Education) from
Stanford University. In March 2005, Musharraf visited
Lucknow,
Uttar Pradesh,
India with his octogenarian grandmother; the visit attracted considerable media attention.
