Bilara is a Persian word derived from bilor which is the name of a diamond. It is also used in Urdu and Punjabi languages for 'something which is extremely glittery'.

Demographics

India census, Bilara had a population of 38,650. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Bilara has an average literacy rate of 57%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 73% and female literacy of 40%. 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Bilara, a Kashmir of Jodhpur district which is mainly based on agriculture and related businesses. It has lots of agriculture farms and an historical temple for Goddess AAI MAA (Goddess Durga). This temple has a continuous flame which results into a saffron color based byproduct instead of carbon.

Bilara, Sojat, Pali, Marwar Junction, Merta are the real Marwarn area where one can see typical marwari customs and culture. Bilara is famous for its sweet local language, religious and cultural events.

Bilara is a very good place nearer there many temples also.
