Blagoveshchensk (; ) is a town in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, located north of Ufa on the right bank of the Belaya River. Population: 33,893 (2010 est.); 32,989 (2002 Census);
It was founded in 1756 and was granted town status in 1941.
On December 10–14, 2004, several hundred citizens were violently beaten by the local militsiya. None of the militiamen involved in the incident, nor their commanders, ever faced any formal discipline.
