Description:
Blue House (藍屋) refers to a 4-storey balcony-type tenement block located at 72-74A Stone Nullah Lane, Wan Chai. It is named for the brilliant blue colour painted on its external walls. It is one of the few remaining examples of Tong Lau of the balcony type in Hong Kong.

It is classified as Grade I historic building.

Future Revitalisation

All the upper floors of Blue House, apart from 72 Stone Nullah Lane, are of timber structures. The two wooden stairs, with all the original elements intact, are well maintained.

The building was part of a HK$100 million plan, unveiled by the Housing Society and the Urban Renewal Authority, to preserve nine Chinese-style buildings in Wan Chai that were constructed during the 1920sMichael Ng, , The Standard, April 1, 2006. According to the plan, seven other pre-war buildings on Hing Wan and King Sing Streets would be preserved. The project would complete in 2011.

The building would be preserved and revitalized in a traditional tea and medicine.

In 2007, the Urban Renewal Authority and the Development Bureau jointly announced that the residents of the Blue House, will be allow to stay if they wish to., the Standard, December 21, 2007
