The study in questions involved a longitudinal study of 200,000 women and men over 24 years. The study monitored their dietary habits over the period of the study. None of the participants had diabetic issues of any form at the outset of the study. Over 12 thousand of the actual individuals were diagnosed with diabetes during the study.
