Brabham won the Miss Pennsylvania USA 2005 title in a state pageant held in late 2004. It was her second attempt at the title, and she was crowned by outgoing titleholder Nicole Georghalli.
Miss USA 2005
Brabham represented Pennsylvania in the Miss USA 2005 pageant broadcast live from Baltimore, Maryland in April 2005. She placed in the top ten in the nationally televised pageant, which was won by Chelsea Cooley of North Carolina. Brabbam made the first cut by advancing to the top 15 on the finals competed in the evening gown round and then advancing to the top ten competed swimsuit before being cut. Brabbam's placement is remarkable because the last a delegate from Pennsylvania to place was Kimmarie Johnson who placed in the top six in Miss USA 1993. For the evening gown competition, Brabham wore a daring gown, design in gold, with a bra-style top and flowing bottom connected only by crossed gold strings designed by Sherri Hill.
