Brett Trevor Holman (born 27 March 1984) is an Australian professional football player. He currently plays as a striker, attacking midfielder or left winger for the Dutch Eredivisie club AZ Alkmaar and the Australia national football team.

Early life

Brett Holman was born in Australia to Australian parents. He grew up in the inner western suburbs of Sydney and was educated at the Catholic Christian Brothers' High School in Lewisham. Brett lived in the Sydney suburb of Croydon Park in Sydney's inner-westand played junior football for the Enfield Rovers. He left school in late 2000 to pursue his footballing career, signing with the Parramatta Power.

Club career

Holman played for Northern Spirit and Parramatta Power in Australia before moving to Dutch football club Feyenoord in 2002.

Once in the Netherlands he played for SBV Excelsior on loan before NEC Nijmegen signed him in 2006.
