Byron Cherry (born April 17, 1955 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an actor. He portrayed Coy Duke, one of the new Duke Boys, in the 1982-1983 season of The Dukes of Hazzard, replacing John Schneider's Bo Duke character.

The Dukes of Hazzard

Cherry's portrayal of the "blond Duke" had him more apt to having crushes and falling in love with the various female characters he encountered on the show. The conflicts between his love interest and his family drove most of the plots during the short time on the air. He, along with fellow replacement Christopher Mayer (who played his dark-haired counterpart "Vance Duke"), was dismissed after the original Dukes, Schneider and Tom Wopat, returned.

Later career

He made few notable contributions to the entertainment industry after the show, appearing in a handful of one-time guest appearances in minor roles. He now owns his own business, "Byron's Barkeep", in Ventura, California.
