Cardiff is a railway station located in Cardiff, New South Wales, Australia on the Main North railway line. The station has two platforms. The station is the closest to the factory of EDI Rail who have constructed some of CityRail's trains. The station itself has a relatively short platform, thus passengers on 8-car trains are asked to board the last 4 carriages (4-car trains are also used during off-peak hours and weekends which makes it possible for passengers alighting or boarding to utilise the entire 4-car set).
The long distance functions of this station are proposed to be replaced by a new station at Glendale, closer to Sydney.
