Central kalaripayattu

The Madhya Kalari(central style) of kalaripayat is practiced mainly in northern part of kerala although it is not to be mistaken with vadakkan(north) kalari. It is not a composite of the northern and southern forms as in popular beliefs and has its own distinctive techniques, which are performed within floor paths known as kalam.
