Chanute Martin Johnson Airport

Chanute Martin Johnson Airport is a city-owned public-use airport located two miles (3 km) southwest of the central business district of Chanute, a city in Neosho County, Kansas, United States.

Facilities and aircraft

Chanute Martin Johnson Airport covers an area of 290 acres (117 ha) which contains two runways: 18/36 with a 4,255 x 75 ft (1,297 x 23 m) asphalt pavement and 8/26 with a 2,200 x 135 ft (671 x 41 m) turf surface.

For the 12-month period ending September 1, 2005, the airport had 18,560 aircraft operations, an average of 50 per day: 99.7% general aviation and <0.3% military. At that time there were 24 aircraft based at this airport: 75% single-engine, 8% multi-engine, 4% helicopter and 13% ultralight.
