Charles Henry Dillon, 14th Viscount Dillon, was born 20 April 1810 in Dublin and died in 1865. He was descended from Charles II.

He married Lydia Sophia Story, granddaughter of Sir Francis Baring, founder of the London merchant house of Barings. They married in Tusmore House, Tusmore, Oxfordshire, England.

He gained his title with the death of his father in 1832.

He died on 18 November 1865 at age 55. He left two daughters. The title passed to his brother.

A large window in the Baptistery of Ballaghaderreen Cathedral in County Mayo commemorates Lord Dillon respecting his fairness as a landlord in the period covering the great famine.

A further window in a chapel on the south side of the sanctuary commemorates Charles Strickland, who was appointed by Lord Dillon to manage his estates in County Mayo. Under Strickland Newtown Dillon was built, the first houses being completed in 1846.

The family is recorded as holding estate in Counties Mayo and Roscommon from 1842 to 1875.
