<!-- Commented out: -->Charles Kennedy, 5th Marquess of Ailsa (10 April 1875) was a Scottish peer, the son of Archibald Kennedy, 3rd Marquess of Ailsa. He was known as Lord Charles Kennedy until 1943, when he inherited the Marquis title.

Educated at Eton and Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester before following a military career.

He married (1) Constance Barbara Clarke, on 15 December 1925. She died in 1931.

He married (2) Helen Ethel McDouall, on 26 April 1933.

Archibald Angus Charles Kennedy, 6th Marquess of Ailsa succeeded to the titles of 16th Earl of Cassilis, 18th Lord Kennedy, 5th Marquess of Ailsa & 5th Baron Ailsa on 27 February 1943.

In 1945 he presented the family seat, Culzean Castle, to the National Trust for Scotland under the Country House Scheme.

He died without issue and his titles passed to his younger brother.
