Chhetri (, alternatively romanized as "Chhettri;" also called "Kshetri" or "Khatri" ) is a derivative of Kshatriya (), the warrior and ruler caste group or varna of Hinduism. Chhetris speak Khasa Nepali, the national language, and are part of the dominant Khasa culture and the wider Pahari Indo-Nepali population. Although they are of Indian origin, "Chhetri" usually refer to members of the Kshatriya caste from the hills of Nepal, as opposed to the Terai or India.

Chhetris are the largest caste group in Nepal, comprising about 15.5% of the total population. Chhetris are overwhelmingly Hindu (99.48% according to the 2001 Census). Within the hill regions of Nepal, the Chhetri numbers rise to 41% of the population, compared to 31% Brahmin and 27% other castes. This greatly exceeds the proportion of Kshatriyas among Hindus elsewhere.
