James Chris Cole (born March 10, 1982 in
Statesville,
North Carolina) is a professional
skateboarder. He grew up in
Langhorne, Pennsylvania, but now lives in
San Marcos, California with his wife and children. His stance is regular.
Cole has recently been in the spotlight because he received
Thrasher Magazine's Skater of the Year award once in 2005, and once again in 2009. Notably, he has appeared in the skateboarding video games
Skate,
Skate 2, and
Skate 3. He gained attention subsequent to him executing a 360 flip down the staircase at Wallenberg High School in
San Francisco, California. Cole also performed a backside 360 kickflip down the Carlsbad gap located in
Carlsbad, California. His team won
Thrasher Magazine's King of the Road contest three times in a row, and he won the gold medal at the
X Games two times in a row, He has also received the title 'Reader's Choice' from
Transworld Skateboarding. He came first place in
Battle at the Berrics 2. Formerly on the G-Spot Skate and Snow team, he is now co-owner of Reign Skate Shop. Chris has also won the most recent three dates of Maloof Money Cup.
He is also an avid
BMX rider and co-owns Cult, a bike company.
