Damai LRT Station (PE7) is an LRT station on the Punggol LRT Line East Loop in Singapore. Originally it was not open for service due to little development around the area. The station opened on June 20, 2011, together with Woodleigh MRT Station to celebrate the eight anniversary of the North-East Line. This is the third opened LRT station after delays and it is operated by SBS Transit.
Etymology
The name means "peaceful" in Malay. It was recommended for reason of cultural diversity in the selection of names. However, it should not be confused with Jalan Damai, a road which is located off Bedok Reservoir Road in the eastern part of Singapore.
