Daporijo is Headquarter of Upper Subansiri District which is home land of four ethnic groups viz. Galo, Tagin, Hillmiri and Nah tribes. And of different belief background viz. Christianity, Donyi Poloism and Animism.
Tagin Tribe has many clans about 387,the nah and mara are the clans of Tagin Tribe not a tribe.
Dumporijo town is next to Daporijo and is just 13th KM away from Daporijo towards Basar-Likabali road. Dumporijo is inhabitant of Galo and Tagin ethnic peoples. There is a (Prayer House) at Kamru of Dumporijo which is running by Arunachal Pradesh Christian Revival Church (APCRC) Area-V.
