David Davidar, born in 1958, is an author and former publisher. He was previously CEO of Penguin International, a division of Penguin Books based in Toronto which comprises Penguin Canada, Penguin India, Penguin South Africa and Penguin Arabia. Davidar resigned from Penguin as he was the subject of a major controversy over his alleged sexual harassment of a former employee named Lisa Rundle. Davidar countered the allegation by claiming the relationship was 'Consensual Flirtation' not 'Sexual Harassment' or 'Assault'.The matter was settled out of court with all allegations addressed and settled to the satisfaction of all parties concerned.
