Subsequent Posts

When he left the Home Office, he became a Fellow of St John's College, Oxford (1992 - 1999), before being appointed as a Senior Research Associate at University of Oxford.

He was a member of the United Nations Committee on Crime Prevention and Control, and of the Helsinki Institute for Crime Prevention and Control during the 1980s.
