De Soto High School (De Soto, Kansas)

De Soto High School is located off of K-10 and Lexington Avenue on 91st street in De Soto, Kansas. It is part of the De Soto School District 232 in Johnson County. Around 700 students, grades 9-12 attend DHS.

History

The school first opened in 1995. Before that, students attended high school in the building that is now Lexington Trails Middle School. The current administration is Dave Morford, Principal and Chuck Mahon, Associate Principal. Plans for extension in 2011 are being initiated to solve for the over-crowding problem at DHS. Currently, the school is over-capacity.
