Deakin’s LLB degree has a strong commercial focus, with an international orientation, enabling Deakin law graduates to undertake legal work in a wide range of settings whether in Australia or abroad.
The Practical Legal Skills program equips graduates with the knowledge, skills and attributes to practice law while the Professional Work Experience requirement enriches their legal education. Deakin Law School has been running an intensive winter semester program at China University of Political Science and Law
for 13 years. This program is also open to students from other law schools around the country and is seen as a useful introduction to Chinese commercial law as Australia and China's trading relationship becomes closer.
The School of Law has two publications in which academics, students, members of the judiciary and practising lawyers are invited to contribute.
