"Desperado" is a soft rock song by the Eagles, an American rock band, written by group members Glenn Frey and Don Henley. It first appeared on the 1973 album Desperado, and has later appeared on numerous compilation albums although it was not a single.

William Ruhlmann of Allmusic described the song as one of the band's best, saying that it showed the strength of Henley's and Frey's co-writing, but also called it a "painfully slow ballad."

In 1994, Clint Black covered the song on the tribute album The Songs of the Eagles. Black's version of the song reached number 54 on the Hot Country Songs charts based on unsolicited airplay. Black later included a live version on his 1996 album Greatest Hits, and included this version as the b-side to his 1996 single "Like the Rain".
