Display Stands Designed For Leisure Travel Commerce
Abercrombie & Kent are legendary for Luxury Holidays, Luxury Vacations and Bespoke Made Vacations. Sold direct and by means of outlets in impressive locations they are always looking at increasing their presentation in the digital age but retaining their characteristic image. At their flagship store within Harrods they wanted to revise their media stand presentation. They recognised they needed to introduce multimedia vieo walls to help capture consideration and "engross" the shoppers in the "experience". This was really essential at industrious periods to keep possible clients engaged. Customer service personnel over and over again spend a significant time organising high cost travel and shoppers expect a certain level of attention and detail. Someone waiting have to be engaged in some way to hold them there.
Their objective was to present their luxury vacations using media stands for video and combining this with physical brochures relevant to the luxurios holidays being shown. Whatever the stand plan - it had to reflect Abercrombie & Kent and Harrods - no mean feat. The Harrods H&S area had their voice and displays4media had to go along their guides in terms of health and safety to comply with their policy. The division management group oversaw the stand design as we needed their agreement too (as well as our client).
There have been several elements to thrash out and make a decision on - it is an "open" section and the finishes had to be prestigious, in keeping with the smart area they occupied and with the ambience of the Harrods store.
The finish selected was a smooth black Perspex, united with a silver anodised mounting system for the screen and finished on the base with a matching black platform. In addition booklet dispensers had to be included. The optimum media screen size selected was 42" which determined the overall size of the display stand - the height had to incorporate the media stand screen above eye level for best viewing, the width not too wide to block out the shopper service points, and the leaflet holders had to be without doubt accessible. Cabling had to be managed into the mounting system for H&S compliance.
Installing the components
The entire multimedia display stand was made and then transported in sections to Harrods store. The installation had to take place after 10 pm. The installment team duly arrived and they had to move the parts through a maze of underground passageways. Ultimately they got to the Abercrombie & Kent spot only to find there were no illumination on and just a faint safety light nearby. Soaring to the challenge (eyes adjusted accordingly) the display stand installation went smoothly and was done in a couple of hours. That included time spent looking for screws and tools in the shadows. The only part left to be tested was the screen but no light was allowed.
A very ecstatic Abercrombie & Kent and definitely no complaints from Harrods. Our client accomplished what they wanted without displeasing their neighbours and comsumers could now "feel and see" the luxury they were about to book. It could have been even more tough if we had not kept all parties "on board", but it was well planned and executed - just as it should be.
