East Coast Bays is the collective name for a series of small suburbs of
North Shore City, in the
Auckland metropolitan area of
New Zealand, which line the northeast coast of the city along the shore of the
Hauraki Gulf and
Rangitoto Channel. Prior to the 1989 local body reforms, the area was a city in its own right, known as the City of East Coast Bays.
The suburbs, from north to south, include Long Bay, Torbay,
Browns Bay, Rothesay Bay, Murrays Bay, Mairangi Bay and Campbells Bay. They stretch for nine kilometres from
