East End / Endion (Duluth)

East End / Endion is a neighborhood in Duluth, Minnesota, United States.

21st Avenue East, East 2nd Street, and East 3rd Street serve as three of the main arterial routes in the community.

Notes

This is one of the neighborhoods which surround the local higher education institutions which are trying to cope with an increase in formerly single family homes being converted into rental boarding houses. These businesses are largely owned by realtors and families from out of the area, taking advantage of a loophole in homestead tax laws. The resulting density of renters has caused stress on the infrastructure of a neighborhood originally intended for working class families. Local long-term residents have begun to organize and recently an amendment to the city charter has regulated the number of these types of rentals.<!-- Deleted image removed: -->
