The East River Crawler is an amusement ride at Six Flags Great America.

The East River Crawler opened in 1970 and was an original "Marriott Attraction". ERC was originally known as The Lobster. It was built in the Yankee Harbor section at Great America. It was known as The Lobster until 1992 when Batman the Ride opened. To go along with the Batman theme, Lobster was renamed East River Crawler and received a slightly modified paint job. Originally it was black and dark orange, the orange was repainted purple. Also, large painted lobsters carved into the concrete surrounding the ride were removed.

This ride has five arms. The arms each hold five cars. Each car can accommodate 3 riders. The cars spin while the arms take riders up and down.
