Eddie Hui Ki-on, GBS, CBE, QPM, CPM, (, Oct 10, 1943 - May 3, 2009) was the last Commissioner of the Royal Hong Kong Police from 1994–97, and the first Commissioner of Hong Kong Police from July 1, 1997 to January 1, 2001. Born in Hong Kong, Hui joined the HKP in 1963 and became Senior Assistant Commissioner in 1989 and Deputy Commissioner (Operations) in 1993. He later became a member of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Clearings Ltd.


Eddie Hui Ki-on died from cancer on May 3, 2009, aged 65.
