Emily Deschanel

Emily Erin Deschanel (; born October 11, 1976) is an American actress and television producer who plays Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan in the comedy-crime drama, Bones.

Early life

Deschanel was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Academy Award-nominated cinematographer and director Caleb Deschanel and actress Mary Jo Deschanel (née Weir). She has one younger sister: actress, model, songwriter, and musician Zooey Deschanel. Her mother is Irish American and her grandfather is French. She grew up in Italy, Canada, France, Yugoslavia, England, and South Africa.
