Estadio Arquitecto Ricardo Etcheverry

Estadio Arquitecto Ricardo Etcheverry is a multi-purpose stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, located close to the Puan station on Line A of the Metro. It is currently used mostly for football matches, by Ferro Carril Oeste. The stadium has a capacity of 24,442 people. It was built in 1905.

The stadium was officially named Arquitecto Ricardo Etcheverri in 1995 in honour of Ricardo Etcheverri who served as the club vicepresident for 30 years. It has been known as "El Templo de Madera" or "El Monumental de Madera" due to the wooden construction of some of the stands.

Tenant clubs

The stadium has been used as the home venue for a number of other clubs while they have been unable to use their own stadia. These include Royal AC, Caballito Juniors, Barracas, Alumni, Boca Juniors, River Plate, Vélez Sársfield, San Lorenzo, Argentinos Juniors, Almagro, Nueva Chicago, Atlanta, All Boys, Chacarita Juniors and Huracán. The most recent prolonged tennancy was that of Argentinos Juniors from 1995-2003 during the reconstruction of the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Music venue

In 1996 the stadium hosted a concert by Page & Plant.
