Etah (, ) is a town which is also the district headquarters of
Etah district of
Uttar Pradesh state,
India. Etah is located on the Sher Shah Suri Marg,Old Name is Grand trank Road which connects Dhaka to Peshwar extened to kabul.
Sher Shah Suri Marg built by him during 14 th century.his era was pre mugal era
Mughal period. Awagarh, one of the town areas of Etah, used to be an important princely state before
Independence.
