Evaldo dos Santos Fabiano, simply Evaldo (born 18 March 1982, Rio Piracicaba, Minas Gerais), is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Sporting Clube de Portugal in the Portuguese first division, as a left defender.

Club career

Having started out professionally with Clube Atlético Paranaense and Democrata Futebol Clube, Evaldo moved to Europe in 2003, as he was purchased by Futebol Clube do Porto in Portugal.

He spent most of the season with the club's reserves. In the 2004 summer, Evaldo was involved in a transfer that brought compatriot Pepe from Club Sport Marítimo, as he, Tonel and Antonielton Ferreira all went to Madeira. After a shaky start, he would be an undisputed starter in the following years.

Evaldo joined Sporting de Braga in the 2008 summer, after four years in Madeira. With no competition in his position, he only missed one league match in his first year, as the Minho side qualified once again for the UEFA Cup.
