Florin Daniel Bratu (born 2 January 1980 in Bucharest) is a Romanian football striker currently playing for Gaz Metan Mediaş.


Florin Bratu began his career with Tractorul Braşov in 2000. At the team he scored eight goals in 27 league games, before going to Rapid Bucureşti. In the Rapid's period Bratu was considered a great talent in Romanian football and made his debut for the Romanian national team.

In 2003, Turkish club Galatasaray announced that they had reached an agreement with Rapid for the transfer of Bratu with the player agreeing to a four-year deal and Galatasaray paying Rapid a $2,1 million.

In summer of 2007 he was signed by Dinamo Bucureşti from Nantes Atlantique.

As of January 2011, he signed for Liga 1 team Gaz Metan Mediaş.

International career

Bratu made his debut for the Romanian national team on 12 February 2003 in a match against Slovakia.
