Gamal Hamza () (born 5 December 1981 in Cairo, Egypt) is an Egyptian football striker. He currently plays for the Egyptian Premier League side El Gouna FC.



Hamza is a Zamalek youth academy graduate, and is considered one of the best Egyptian forwards. He is one of the highest scoring players in Cairo Derby aganist Al-Ahly with eight goals. He is known for once having sported a reverse-Mohawk haircut, which he has since abandoned.

On 14 May 2009, Hamza signed a pre-contract with the Swiss club FC Luzern. However, no agreement between Luzern and Hamza's club Al Zamalek came about.


On 24 June 2009, Hamza signed with the German side 1. FSV Mainz 05 on a 2+1 basis,

El Gouna FC

Hamza returned to the Egyptian premier league club El Gouna FC on a six-month contract from January 2010.


Hamza hsigned a three-year deal with Al-Ahly, to play with the team from the beginning of the 2010–11 season. However, just days after the transfer was complete, Hamza left Ahly due to not being registered for the CAF Champions League squad and other problems with then manager Hossam El-Badry concerning his fitness and lack of focus during training.
