Gorka Brit Gallego (born 19 April 1978) is a
Spanish footballer who plays for
Real Unión in the
Spanish third division, as a
striker.
Football career
Brit was born in
San Sebastián,
Gipuzkoa. Having grown through the ranks of
Real Sociedad, and having played as a senior with modest outfits, mostly in the
Basque Country, he made his debuts in the
top division with
CA Osasuna, in
2002–03. Subsequently, he served some loan stints in
Segunda División; after only 17 matches combined with the
Navarrese's main squad, in two separate seasons, he was released in the 2006 summer.
In
2007–08, Brit was an important member in
CD Numancia (having joined the
Soria side the previous season) in their championship season, with subsequent promotion.
In late July 2009, he returned once again to the Basque region, joining
Real Unión,
freshly promoted to the second level. He experienced one of his best seasons as a professional, netting 14 league goals, but the club was
immediately relegated back.
