Hagia Sophia means either "Holy Wisdom" or "Saint Sophia" ( or Αγία Σοφία in Greek, Sancta Sophia in Latin, Ayasofya in Turkish). It is a reference to the attribute of "The Holy Wisdom of Jesus Christ", especially in Eastern Orthodox doctrine.
