Harish Khare is Media Advisor at the
Indian Prime Minister's . He has worked as Resident Editor and chief of bureau with The Hindu in New Delhi, India.

India's left leaning and most respected broadsheet.
Harish Khare has also worked as editor of the Ahmedabad edition of
The Times of India and as a senior editor for
Hindustan Times.He has a Ph.D in Political Science from with a thesis on "Perception in Decision making".He was appointed to the present post on the 19 June 2009 after the UPA government's second consecutive victory at the Centre. He was preceded by Deepak Sandhu, a career bureaucrat and Dr Sanjay Baru, presently Editor at the , New Delhi.
FamilyMr Khare is married to Renana Jhabvala, Chairperson of SEWA Bank and a senior member of SEWA and novelist Ruth Prabwer Jhabvala's daughter.
Mr. Khare has a son, Uday Khare, who is working with Amarchand Mangaldas, a leading Indian law firm, in Mumbai.
