Huang Qian

Huang Qian (; born July 18, 1986 in Chongqing) is a Chinese WGM-titled chess player.

She is currently the 47th ranked female chess player in the world. She had previously been in the FIDE Top 20 Girls List from 2003–2006, having reached a peak of 9th position on the April 2006 list.

China Chess League

Huang Qian plays for China Mobile Group Chongqing Company Ltd chess club in the China Chess League (CCL).

National team

Huang was part of the Chinese women's team (with Zhao Xue, Hou Yifan, Ruan Lufei, Shen Yang) that won the First World Women's Team Chess Championship 2007 in Yekaterinburg.

WGM title

She gained the Woman Grandmaster title in March 2008. Her three WGM norms were achieved at:

• 36th Chess Olympiad (Women) in Calvià, Spain October 14–31, 2004; score 7.5/10
• China Women's Individual Championship Group A in Chongqing, China June 6–19, 2007; score 6.5/10
• 12th Asian Women Individual Championship in Tehran, Iran September 3–11, 2007; score 5.5/9
