Ichkeria means in the Chechen language Land of Metal or Land of Minerals. The word comes from two Chechen words "Achk" and "Ara". After that in the Russian language the word changed to Ichkeria; like Angusht to Ingushetia or the Chechen district Ouvhara to Aukh in Dagestan. Ichkeria is in the south eastern part of Chechnya, and the area is rich in minerals. Ichkeria is not a Turkish word. According to legends, all pure Chechen teips originated there.
