De Camargo was a key player for Standard Liege and began playing in Belgium when he was just 17. In January 2009 he signed a new contract until June 2013. In the 2009–10 season he played in all but one league game for Standard Liège and scored seven goals. He can also play as a winger.
On 22 April 2010, he announced that he would transfer to German club Borussia Mönchengladbach at the end of the season.On 20 May 2011 De Camargo scored after 90+3 minutes against VfL Bochum to take a 1-0 lead into the second leg of the relegation playoff.
