Description:
There are five Indian Medical Association (IMA) branches in Srikakulam district. They are Palasa, Rajaam, Sompeta, Srikakulam, and Tekkali.

Srikakulam is the northernmost coastal district of Andhra Pradesh. The population of the district is about 25 lakhs. It has 38 mandals and 4 municipalities.

IMA means "Indian Medical Association" and is a country wide association. The main purpose of this association is CME (Continuous Medical Education, getting together, solving local professional issues, helping after natural disasters and other duties.

The Indian Medical Association is the only representative, national voluntary organisation of doctors looking after the interests of the medical field in India.
