Institute for America's Future is an Americanthink tank which distributes reports, gathers and processes information, and does analysis of various progressive causes. Its issues of focus include the environmental, energy, and health care, social security, education and congressional accountability. The Institute is a 501 non-profit organization.
The Institute has a sister organization called Campaign for America's Future which is a 501 non-profit organization which takes the information and analysis done by the Institute and proposes progressive solutions.
The Institute also funds a popular website, TomPaine.com, which offers news, opinion and policy analysis from a progressive (aka liberal) perspective.
The Institute also established a joint project with the Center on Wisconsin Strategy called the Apollo Alliance, which is a 501(c)(3) think tank that deals with energy issues.
