Description and history

It was originally founded by Sir Martyn Arbib as Perpetual Mutual and then Perpetual plc. The company became a member of the AMVESCAP Group, which was subsequently renamed Invesco.

Queen Elizabeth II visited the company in 1998 to open a new complex of buildings after opening the nearby River and Rowing Museum.

The company's UK Head of Investment is Neil Woodford. The company is a significant employer in the town of Henley, England.
