Islamic University of Technology or
IUT () is an internationally recognized educational and research institution in Bangladesh. It is regarded as one of the top universities for technical education in Bangladesh. The main objective of IUT is to contribute in developing the human resources of the member states of the
OIC, particularly in different fields of
Engineering,
Technology and
Technical Education. IUT receives direct endowment from OIC member countries and offers scholarships to its students in the form of free tuition, boarding, lodging and medicare. The campus of this university is designed by a Turkish architect.
Location and Climate
IUT is located at
Board Bazar, Gazipur, about 30 km north of
Dhaka (Latitude=23'43`N, Longitude=90'25`E), the capital of
Bangladesh.
