Jannero Pargo (born October 22, 1979) is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls.

College career

Graduating from Paul Robeson High School at Chicago in 1998, Pargo played collegiately for the University of Arkansas after transferring from Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kansas in 2000.

NBA career

Pargo has played in the NBA for the Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls and the New Orleans Hornets. During the playoffs in his final season with the Hornets he garnered attention by coming off the bench for star Chris Paul and keeping up the scoring as if he was with the first team. He averaged 10.3 points in 12 playoff games and hit big three-point shots in game 7 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals vs. the Spurs, causing a stir for the off-season as he would be a free agent. In the off-season Pargo was attracted to Europe to play. European teams began making offers to free agents around the league to try to attract NBA talent overseas.


After the 2007-2008 NBA season, Pargo signed a one year $3.8 million net income contract with the Russian League team Dynamo Moscow. In January 2009, Pargo secured a buyout from his Russian club and signed with the Greek League club Olympiacos Piraeus. He averaged 3.5 points and 1.4 assists per game in the......
